Grove Township Plats
These are some of the names of the folks who owned land in Grove Township.  It's a partial list only.  Each  section is divided into 640 acres.  The names in the list are read starting from the top left hand corner going down, then back to the top.  So, for example in section 10 - J. Lachel owns the first 40 acre plat in the top left hand corner of the section.  S. Easter owns the last 50 acres in the bottom right hand section.  Now, all my sections won't add up to 680 since I did not get the chance to xerox the whole map.  We work on the theory that something is better than nothing! ©Transcribed by Kim Torp, except where noted
