Fern Grahlherr Odle

Fern Grahlherr Odle, 87, of Ina died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 
at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

She was a homemaker.

She was born March 16, 1918 in Jefferson County to Jim C. and Flossie (Owens) Sweetin. 
She married William H. Grahlherr on July 3, 1937. He preceded her in death. 
She later married Walter Odle, who also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina. 
The Rev. Jesse Allen will officiate.

Burial will be at Kirk Cemetery, Ina. 

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Grahlherr of Texico and Bill Grahlherr and wife 
Delores of St. Louis; one daughter, Judy Grisley and husband John of Marion; one 
stepdaughter, Wilma Gulley and husband Allen of Benton; five grandchildren, 
Mary Susan Harris, Julie Ann Garrison, Don Grahlherr, Lynn Jackman and Dawn Grisley; 
nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Tom Sweetin of Mt. Vernon.

Fern was a devoted mother and grandmother. She very much enjoyed working in her flowers 
and yard. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing with her family and friends and has 
always enjoyed music. She loved for people to come and visit her, and there was always 
something to eat.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.
