Billie J. Thomas
WARRENSBURG - Billie J. Thomas, 52, of Warrensburg, died 3:19 P.M., Monday, October 4, 2004, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 8, at Foursquare Gospel Church, Decatur. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday, October 7, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Foursquare Missions Outreach Program. Billie was born March 4, 1952, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of George O’Dell and Norma (Woodard) Cole. She married Gayland J. Thomas on July 20, 1969, in Niantic, Illinois. Billie was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church of Decatur and was very active in church activities. She was employed at Decatur Memorial Hospital for 27 years, with her last position being Clinical Coordinator for Home Health Services. She loved camping, gardening, traveling, and quilting. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Gayland of Warrensburg; son Jody and wife Missy and their children Courtney, Cody & Chloe of Warrensburg; daughter Tracy Bollinger and husband Troy and their children Brooklynn, Karsyn & Griffin of Decatur; daughter Karen Mayer and husband Michael and their children Aaron, Christian, Ethan, Brandon & David; son Aaron and daughter Allison of Warrensburg; sister Karen Grandon and husband Bill of Atlanta, Illinois; brother David O’Dell and wife Cheryl of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; several nieces, a nephew, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents. Billie was our beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. Her legacy will live on in our hearts and memories. She will be greatly missed until we meet again. Obituary written by family members
