Insurance agent, Apple River, Ill., was born at Diesse, Switzerland. Nov. 6, 1862, and came to this country in 1880, making his first location at Galena, Ill., but from 1881 to 1892, was engaged in farming in Warren Township, Jo Daviess County. In the latter year he moved to Apple River, where, in insurance matters, he is agent for the New York Life Company, and has won special honors for work in this connection. Since 1903 Mr. Bourquin has been Deputy County Sheriff of Jo Daviess County; is also manager of the Grand Opera House at Apple River.
