George McHoes, 38 of Davis was fined $100 and costs amounting to $122.40 by Judge Edward J. Sullivan in county court this morning on a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. Mr. Hoes was arrested by Serg. Harry Strock of the state highway police department, following an accident which occurred on route 75, a mile and a half east of Freeport, about 1:15 o'clock Sunday morning when a car driven by McHoes and another one driven by Emert Krukenberg, ofRidott collided. McHoes was accompanied by Edward Gunderson 28, also of Davis, while Krukenberg wa accompanied by Jack Edwards, 125 South Galena avenue and Miss Etta Gundry, 119 1/2 South Galena avenue who received minor injuries. Following the accident McHoes was lodged in the county jail pending the hearing this morning.
