Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Westaby and baby are moving Saturday at Galena where they will have charge of the county infirmary.

Wilson H. Westaby of Stockton has been selected by the county infirmary committee of the county board of supervisors as superintendent of the county farm to succeed the late John Bucher. His salery has been set at $50 per month. It is believed that the action of the committee will be taken before the board for approval at the December meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coppernoll and daughter Emogene and Mr. & Mrs. Willis Rindesbacher returned this week from a 10 day trip to Washington D.C. where they visited relatives and friends.

Last Saturday evening a group of neighbors gave a surprise farewell party for Mr. & Mrs. Philip Townsend who soon will leave for their new home near Rockford. The evening was spent in playing "500" high prize for women going to Mrs. Elmer Herman and high for men to Robert Dittmer. Dale Townsend won the low award. The group presented them with a lovely gift. At midnight a picnic lunch was served. Those present included Mrs. Frederick Huttenlocher, Reola and Marion Huttenlocher, Ray Brown, Mr. & Mrs. R. Tapely, Mrs. Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Evert Read, Duna Read, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Arnold, Gerald Arnold, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Dittmar, Kenneth & Kay Dittmar, Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Herman, Mrs. Robert Shannon, Charles Dittmar, Maurice Dittman, and William Herman
