CHARLES O. HANCOCK , age 99, of Elizabeth, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in the Morgan Memorial Nursing Home, Stockton, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth, Illinois. Reverend Amy Poust of Stockton United Methodist Church, Stockton. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, Illinois. Clarence was born June 24, 1906 in Elizabeth the son of Oscar and Ameilia (Menzemer) Hancock. He was a graduate of Elizabeth High School. On September 8, 1937, Clarence married Edna V. Koehn in Duluth, Minnesota. Edna passed away on December 13, 1994. Clarence and Edna owned a trucking company in Elizabeth. They farmed in rural Elizabeth, and worked together preparing and cooking for the Sugar & Spice Restaurant in Freeport, Illinois. Clarence enjoyed the outdoors, most of all he loved and enjoyed his family. Clarence will be dearly missed by his three sons, Cleland (Judy) Hancock of Littleton, Colorado, Tom (Theresa) Hancock of Belvidere, Illinois and Dennis Hancock of Stockton, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernita Curtis of Savanna, Illinois and Ruth Hansen of Sherburn, Minnesota. Clarence was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edna; and one brother, Cletus Hancock.

MARTIN HANDEL , a farm laborer employed by James Moore at Hanover, fell dead in Henry Simmon's saloon on Market Square Saturday evening. While the lifeless body lay in a corner of the saloon awaiting a physician's examination, it was robbed of a watch and chain, the only things of value on the person of the deceased. Galena Gazette

PAUL HANNAMAN , 50, Galena, Ill., died Friday, March 28, 2008, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 15, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of George and Joyce (Holgate) Hannaman. He married Jean Sprague on Feb. 28, 1987 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Galena. He graduated from Galena High School, the Class of 1976, and was currently employed at Wal-Mart in Galena, where he worked in maintenance. He will be fondly remembered for the love he gave to his family, as they were the most important thing in his life. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Survivors in his wife, Jean; one son, Jason Hannaman, Freeport; two daughters, Angela and Rebecca, both at home; five brothers, Roy (Kathy) Hannaman, James (Kathy) Hannaman, David Hannaman, George Hannaman and Joe Hannaman; and four sisters, Marian Vaassen, Jane Vaassen, Ann (Mike) Laird and Joyce Hannaman. He was preceded in death by his father on May 23, 1997. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, 100 Carol-don Court, Galena. The Scripture Wake Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Galena. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Galena.

GENEVA M. (KAUFMAN) HARING , age 95, of Elizabeth, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 in the Elizabeth Nursing Home, Elizabeth, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Hanover United Methodist Church, Hanover, Illinois. Friends may call from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover, Illinois. Memorials may be given in Geneva’s memory. Geneva was born October 27, 1910 in Hanover, the daughter of Charles and Sadie (Wells) Kaufman. She attended Hanover Schools. Geneva attended the University of Dubuque and received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. On December 26, 1939 Geneva married Harold F. Haring in the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. To this marriage was born a son, Tommy F. Haring on December 21, 1942. She began her teaching career at various country schools in the Hanover and Elizabeth area. Geneva also taught Math and History in Albany, Port Byron, and Fulton, Illinois schools, retiring in 1980. After she retired, Geneva helped in Hospice, caring for many people in the Savanna area. She also volunteered by teaching people who could not read, write or do arithmetic. Geneva was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Hanover, the Presbyterian Women’s Society and the National Educational Association. She lived as she believed, “God, Family and Helping People”. Geneva enjoyed handiwork, gardening, canning and sewing. Geneva will be dearly missed by her daughter in-law, Rosemary Haring; one granddaughter, Brenda (Charles) Carafano; three grandsons, Jody, Tommy, Jr. and Christopher Haring; three great grandchildren; one sister, Flossie Sullivan of Dubuque, Iowa; one sister in-law Mary Kaufman of Galena, Illinois; and one brother in-law, Austin Stump of Warren, Illinois. Geneva is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Haring, two brothers, Oral and Leslie Kaufman; and one sister, Margaret Stump.

L. MAE (SANDERSON) HARKNESS , age 91, of Elizabeth formerly of Hanover died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the United Presbyterian Church, Hanover, with Pastor Lynn Matthews officiating. Burial took place in the Log Church Cemetery, rural Hanover. Friends called from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. A Memorial Fund has been established. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com. Mae was born May 18, 1915 to Warren and Luella (Cook) Sanderson in Rodden, Illinois. She attended Black School and graduated from Hanover High School, Class of 1933. On March 29, 1934, Mae married Edward Raymond Patterson in Galena. Raymond died March 3, 1980. On March 6, 1982 she married Harvey Harkness in Hanover. Mae enjoyed being a farmwife and raising her children. She liked cooking, quilting, gardening and farming. Mae worked six years in the rating department at the Economy Insurance Company in Freeport. She was a member, Past President and an Elder of the Hanover Presbyterian Church, Hanover. She held membership with the United Presbyterian Women, the Jo Daviess Home Bureau, and volunteered her time as a Leader with 4-H Club of America. Mae will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Judith (Vincent) Vesely of Hanover and Shirley (Dale) Dodson of Hemingford, Nebraska; two sons, Robert (Betty) Patterson of Hanover, and Richard (Deborah) Patterson of Hanover; one brother, Leland (Carol) Sanderson of Galena; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild; Both husbands, three brothers, Harold, Stanley and LaVerne and one sister, Elva Sullivan, precede Mae in death.

LOGAN HENRY HARWICK - The passing away of Mr. Logan Harwick at his home in Guilford Township at 2:30 a.m. July 16, 1912 after an illness of three weeks duration brought sorrow into many homes. Mr. Harwick spent the entire 72 years of his life in the township where he died. He was known as an industrious, hard-working gentleman by a large circle of friends. On Nov. 11, 1869 he was united in marriage in Scales Mound to Miss Sarah McKinney of Taylorville, IA. The home was blessed with 14 children, 5 sons and 9 daughters, three of whom, Sophia, Anna, and Albert, preceded him in death. Those left to mourn besides his wife are William of Kasson, MN, Wesley of Volga City, IA, Thomas and John of Guilford, Mrs. John Isbell of Elizabeth, Mrs. George Sullivan of Barr, CO, Mrs. Metcalf Brunskill and Mrs. Samuel McLamarrah of Shullsburg, WI, Mrs. George Posey of Stockton, Misses Della and Charlotte at home with their mother on a farm purchased 33 years ago, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Speck who resides at Manchester, IA. Mr Harwick was the grand- father of 37 children, 28 of them living. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Wed. at 1 p.m. by Rev. R.W. Van Alstyne of Scales Mound. The esteem in which Mr. Harwick was held was fully manifested by the vast multitude of neighbors and friends present at the funeral. All of the children were home to attend the funeral but Wesley and Mrs. Isbell. Interment was made in the Scales Mound cemetary. Pallbearers were Albert Harwick, Charles and William Speck, nephews, and George Posey and Samuel McLamarrah and Metcalf Brunskill, sons-in-law. Mrs. Harwick and children take this opportunity to express thanks to their many friends for being so kind and sympathetic to them while husband and father was hovering between life and death and after dissolution, for assistance and comforting words on the day of the funeral and since that time.

SARAH CATHERINE (McKINNEY) HARWICK - 89 years old and oldest of a five-generation family, died of a stroke Sat, Feb 8, 1941 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Moore, in Rochester, MN. She had not enjoyed good health for some time. The remains were brought to the home of her son, John, in Scales Mound for burial Mon p.m. at the Methodist church with Rev. R.E. Bethards conducting the services. Mrs Wm. Cousins, Mrs. Mabel Carr, Mrs. Roscoe Glendenning and Albert Williams sang hymns with Mrs. Lucille Williams at the piano. Sarah Catherine KcKinney was born Nov 13, 1851 at Taylorville, IA. Many years of her life were spent in Guilford Township. She married Logan Henry Harwick Nov 11, 1869 and to this union were born 14 children. Mrs. Harwick was a resident of Jo Daviess County in the pioneer days when it was hard work making a home; she knew what it was to rough it. Her husband, two sons, and six daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing six children, William and Charlotte of Rochester, MN, Thomas of Elizabeth, IL, Mrs.Mary Elizabeth Brunskill of Shullsburg, WI, Mrs. Sophronia Posey of Balsam Lake, WI, and John of Scales Mound, IL. She also leaves 64 grandchildren, 100 greatgrandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren, and a host of friends. Burial was made in the Scales Mound Cemetary alongside her husband

EDGAR HASKEN ,89, of Galena, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, surrounded by his family. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Galena. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today, at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where a scripture wake service will be at 7 p.m. He was born on Sept. 18, 1919, in Galena, son of Henry and Gertrude (Lingle) Hasken. He married Fay (Zeal) Hasken in 1942. Together they had five children. Edgar served as a sergeant in the Army during World War II. He worked at Kraft Foods in Galena for 35 years, until his retirement, and also was a full-time farmer. Edgar enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Fay Hasken; two sons, Ron (Johnette) Hasken and Rick (Roxann) Hasken; his three daughters, Janice Harris, Sandy Hasken and Jackie (Chuck) Werner; 10 grandchildren, Patrice (Brian) Kuhn, Paul (Kelli) Hasken, Scott (Carrie) Hasken, Kelly (Lon) Scheuerell, Jeff and Lindsey Hasken, Cassie and Josh Harris, and Brendan and Macalister Werner; six great-grandchildren, Ben and Katie Kuhn, Emma, Matt and Sam Hasken, and Thomas Werner; and a sister, Irma Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Rosie Fellenzer and Sally Saam; and a brother, Al Hasken.

ROBERT BRUCE HATFIELD , age 61, of Hanover, Illinois, died October 31, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. Robert was born June 12, 1944, the son of Gordon and Geraldine (Kuhns) Hatfield in Savanna, Illinois. He graduated from the Elizabeth High School with the Class of 1963. He also attended technical school for Automotive Mechanics. Robert farmed most of his life, and worked in manufacturing. He also worked refinishing machinery for Murphy, Gustafson Implement in Freeport, Illinois. He was a big music fan, collecting records and tapes. Robert enjoyed watching sports he was an avid Bears fan. Robert was a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, where he served as an Usher and Head Usher for many years.. Robert will be dearly missed by his three brothers, William (MaeAnn) Hatfield of Elizabeth, Illinois, Jerald (Barbara) Hatfield of Warren, Illinois, and Richard (Mary) Hatfield of Rockton, Illinois; two sisters, Sharon Hatfield of Chesterfield, Missouri and Sunny (David) Hughes of Oregon, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents.

GEORGE GRANT HERBSLEB , 64, of 806 Park Avenue, Galena, died Friday, May 18 in the Galena Hospital. He was born in Galena May 23, 1908, the son of the late John and Mary T. Smith Herbsleb, He was a World War II (veteran) and was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad. He is survived by cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 1970.

JOHN C. HERBSLEB , 76, of 806 Park Avenue, Galena passed away suddenly early Tuesday morning. He was born in Galena March 17, 1881, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Herbsleb. He received his education in local schools and spent his entire life in Galena, working for the telephone company, the Leadmine Foundry and the North Western Railroad Company. He was married to Mary T. Smith of Galena in September of 1906.

EVELYN (ATZ) HEIDENREICH , age 85, of Elizabeth, Illinois passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006 in the Galena-Stauss Hospital, Galena, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Grace Bible Church, Woodbine, Illinois, with Pastor Jeremy Yowell officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Grace Bible Church. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery, Woodbine, Illinois. Evelyn was born February 15, 1920 in rural Woodbine, Illinois, the daughter of L.V.B and Bertha (Guenzler) Atz. Evelyn attended Terrapin Ridge School. She married Dwight D. Heidenreich on August 10, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Dwight passed away on February 2, 1989. Evelyn was a homemaker. She worked as a telephone operator in Woodbine, Illinois, and was the caretaker for Woodbine and Welsh Hollow Cemetery. Evelyn’s hobbies included playing the organ, gardening, and scrapbooking photos. She taught Sunday School at E.U.B. Church in Woodbine, Illinois. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Allen (Diana) Heidenreich of Elizabeth, Illinois; three sisters-in-law, Elva Atz of Elizabeth, Illinois, Faye Heidenreich of Elizabeth, Illinois, Viola Heidenreich of Lena, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight, and one brother, Alvin Atz.

BERTHA M. (LONG) HERRING died Wednesday afternoon (10 Oct 1973) in Freeport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Walker Mortuary in Freeport with the Rev. Lowell Ragans, pastor of the Rock Falls Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Ladies Union Cemetery at Stockton. There is visitation after 6 p.m. Friday in the Walker Mortuary. Mrs. Herring was born May 27, 1890 in Elizabeth. She was married in 1908 to Augustus Long who died in 1922 and was united in marriage with Wilbur Herring in 1925 and he died in 1945. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. William (Alberta) Morgan of Stockton, Mrs. Edwin (Melva) Nielsen and Mrs. Lloyd (Carlene) Green, both of Sterling, Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Polhill of Freeport and Mrs William (Delores) Sisson of Rock Falls and a step-son Ralph Herring of Warren. There are eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 10 step grandchildren.

GEORGE HEYDEN - The Heydons came from England in about 1630 and settled at Dorchester, Mass. George Heydon, a Warren settler of 1853 was born at Ferrington, Conn., in 1804, and died in Wichita, Kan., in 1888. On March 24, 1825, he married Clrinda, the daughter of John and Mercy (Monger) Aspinwall, who was born in Connecticut in 1805, and died in Wichita, Kan., in 1886. After their marriage the couple moved to Chautauqua Co., N. Y., where five of their eleven children were born. In about 1836 the Heydons moved to Coldwater, Mich. where the six younger children were born. Here they remained until coming to Warren in 1853.
George Heydon was by trade a cabinet maker, and engaged in carpentry and in the furniture business in Warren. In 1883 the parents left Warren and located in Wichita, Kan., so as to be near some of their children.
Harriet Cordelia Heydon, the eldest child, born in 1826, married Wilson J. Codey, and lived in Coldwater Mich., until her death in 1878.
Mary Elizabeth Heydon, the second child of George,k was born on February 13, 1828, and married Dr. (later attorney and General) Thomas Emmet Champion, and lived in Warren from 1851 to the close of the Civil War, when the Champions settled in Knoxville, Tenn. (Consult the article on Gen. Thos. E. Champion).
Sophronia Sarah Heydon, the third child married Horace Hill. She was born on January 12, 1830. Consult the article on the Peckham family).
Emily Margaret Heydon, the fourth chiuld of George, was born on February 14, 1832, and married Alvia Stowell, a brother of Mrs. Major Barton, of Warren. They had two children. She died in Chicago on August 9, 1877.
George W. Heydon, the fifth child, was born on April 12, 1834, and married Jennie Hector, of Warren. They moved to Wichita, Kan., where he died on July 15, 1881, and his wife died at Los Angeles, Cal., in 1927.
Hester Ann Heydon, the sixth child of George, and the first one born at Coldwater, Mich., was born on Feb. 25, 1837. she married Charles Whitmore, of Warren, a veteran of the Civil War, the ceremony being on May 6, 1858. She died Jan. 31, 1928. (Consult the article of John Whitmore and family.)
Lucretia Victoria Heydon, twin of Luretta, was born Aug. 6, 1839. She married David H. Dean of Warren, on Jan. 1, 1859, and lived in Warren until 1892, when they moved to Texas. She died at Houston, Tex., on Sep. 8, 1907. (Consult the article on the Dean Family). Luretta died when six days old.
Ruth Aurelia Heydon, the ninth child of George, was born Nov. 25, 1843 and married William Lathrop, of Warren. He was killed int he Civil War, and she married William Keyes. In 1894 she moved to Chicago, where she died on December 6, 1899. There were a Keyes daughter and two sons.
Luther Henry Heydon, the tenth child, a bachelor, was born Dec. 29, 1845, and died January 5, 1865 from injuries received int he Civil War.
Martha Jane Heydon, the eleventh, or youngest child of George was born on November 23, 1847, and married Dr. W. H. Mills, of Freeport, Ill. they moved from Freeport to Dennision, Tex. Dr. Mills diedin about 1922, an Mrs. Mills resides at 725 South Hampshire St., in Los Angeles, Cal., now in 1931.
The Heydons were of strong personality and left their imprint upon Warren.
William P. Peydon, a brother of George Heydon, who was born in New York State, enlisted in Co. K of the 96th Rgt. of Ill. Inft. when 21 years of age. He was a saddler. He was discharged on Jan 1, 1864 for disabilities, and died a week later from the effects of his shell wound

CLELAND H. HICKMAN 95, of Scales Mound, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at First Presbyterian Church, Scales Mound, with Pastor Shawn Heavenly officiating. Burial will be in the Scales Mound Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Scales Mound. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. He was born on July 16, 1914, on the Hickman family farm near Scales Mound, son of Herbert and Etta (Boldt) Hickman. He graduated as valedictorian from Scales Mound High School in 1932. He married Verneal Stadel on Jan. 12, 1937; she preceded him in death on March 10, 1988. He later married Ruby (Casper) Conter on Dec. 13, 1989; she preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. Herb worked at the Savanna Army Depot during World War II and later worked for the Jo Daviess County Highway Department, retiring after 40 years as superintendent of that department. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Scales Mound, serving as a Sunday school teacher, clerk of session and treasurer for many years. He was president of the Scales Mound Fire District, which includes Apple Canyon Lake and The Galena Territory. He was a Third Degree Mason, member of Miners Lodge 273, A.F. & A.M. of Galena, and a member of the Gid-eons. Over the years he was a member of many boards and committees too numerous to mention. Herb was a Chicago Cubs fan, liked to golf and really enjoyed his retirement years, having a lot of good times with his many friends at Apple Canyon Lake. Surviving are a son, Wayne (Nyla) Hickman, of Scales Mound; two stepdaughters, Clara Earl, of Baton Rouge, La., and Marge (John) Blum, of Freeport; three stepsons, Lou (Bobbi) Conter, of Gaithersburg, Md., Ken (Ruth) Conter and Mel (Sherry) Conter, both of Freeport; two granddaughters; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ken Hickman; and his infant grandson, Tim Hickman.

FRANK AUGUST HINTZ retired area farmer, died at the home of his brother Herman in Rush Township Wednesday evening after a short illness. He was born in Germany 76 years ago the son of August and Christine Tesmer Hintz and came to this country in 1900. She preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George Street of Sycamore and Miss Jeanette of Chicago; one brother Herman with whom he liv4ed; and two sisters, Mrs. Emil Kant of Warren and Mrs. Frank Breed of Stockton. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bartell Funeral Home with the Rev. Oswald Mall, pastor of St.Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight.

SUZANNE (WIGHTMAN) HOLLINGSWORTH , 60, of Galena, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at home surrounded by her family. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Galena. She was born on July 8, 1948, daughter of Howard and Eileen (Floyd) Wightman. She married Fred Hollingworth on June 10, 1972, at the United Methodist Church, Galena. She was a resident of Galena throughout her entire life. Suzanne held several jobs during her life, including being a teacher and the Zoning Administrator for the city of Galena. She was a Cub Scout pack leader and was active in the United Methodist Church of Galena. However, she was proudest of being a good mother and wife because her family was the most important thing in the world to her. A tolerant, kind, loving, principled and ethical person, Suzanne cared deeply for those around her and was loved by her friends almost as much as her family loved her. Though her family is devastated to lose her, she reminds us to remember the joy she brought to our lives, the good she has brought to the world, and to be happy even in this difficult time. We hope that her friends will do the same. IMLY (KLENKE) HOUY , 81, of Galena, died Nov. 20, 2007, at the Galena Stauss Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, with the Rev. Jim McCrea officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. She was born on Jan. 6, 1926, in Scales Mound, daughter of Louis and Mary (Stauss) Klenke. She married George Houy on April 12, 1947, in Galena; he preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1980. She was employed at Burgess Battery factory in Galena, Eaton Corporation in Hanover, Advanced Transformer in Platteville, Wis., and Subway in Galena, until her retirement at the age of 78. She enjoyed spending time with her family, the outdoors camping and fishing and watching and feeding the birds. She was a huge Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan. Imly was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Surviving are her three children, Diane (Jack) Johnson, of Galena, Linda (Ed) Phillips, of Dubuque, and Del Houy, of Galena; seven grandchildren, Shelly ( Jeremy) Smith, of Jewell, Iowa, Jerri (Josh) Walker, of Galena, and Kim Saeugling, Kathy (Dan) Tuthill, Karl (Jennifer) Phillips, Kevin (fiancee, Michelle) Phillips and Kyla (Phil) Reynolds, all of Dubuque; 11 and half grandchildren, Ryan Hocking, Madison Hocking, Alexis Smith, Victoria Walker, and a baby girl Walker on the way, Tyler Saeugling, Katilin Tuthill, Kaleb Phillips, Elizabeth Phillips, McKinley Phillips, Gage Reynolds and Delainey Reynolds; a brother, Claude Klenke, of Illinois; and nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Cedric, Orrin and Glen Klenke; and a sister, Friederica Rogers
