AL WATSON
- A very serious accident happened to Al Watson, a prosperous young farmer of this vicinity, last week. He was taking a car load of cattle to Chicago, when at Eleroy as the train was pulling out very slowly, the Iowa stock train, which was following, crashed into the rear end of the train, on which Mr. Watson was a passenger. There were several more in the caboose, who all escaped by jumping, but Watson was a moment too late, and a flying piece of timber struck him on the head, He was rendered unconscious and was taken to the hospital at Freeport, where an operation was performed. Up to Tuesday noon he had not regained consciousness. But every one wishes his speedy recovery.
