Claude Mighell

Claude Mighell, age 90, of Route 1, Goreville, died Wednesday, July 28, 1982 at Marion Hospital.

He was born January 16, 1902 at Goreville, the son of Walter & Etta (EVANS) Mighell. He was married to Madeline Murray, who survives.

Mr. Mighell is also survived by two daughters, Delores Brunner and Phyllis cooper, both of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He  was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Davis.

Mr. Mighell was a retired railroad engineer, having been employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Buncombe and a member of Saline Lodge No. 339, AF and AM, Goreville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 1982 at Whtinel Funeral Chapel in Goreville. Rev. P. L. Montgomery officiated. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Masonic rites were held on Friday evening at the Funeral Chapel by Salina Lodge. Whitnel Funeral Chapel, Goreville, had charge of arrangements.
