Clellan C. Parker

Clellan C. Parker, age 86 years, a resident of LaCenter, KY and a former resident of Johnson County, IL., passed away Wednesday evening, February 15, 2006, at 5:10 PM at the Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY.
Clellan C. Parker, son of Ernest Parker & Flora (Larrison) Parker, was born April 13, 1919 in Johnson County Illinois.
At the time of his passing, Clellan had attained the age of 86 years, 10 months & 2 days.
Clellan was united in marriage to Almeda (Walker) Parker on September 23, 1939 in Charleston, MO. She survives.
Other Survivors include: A Daughter – Carolyn J. Shelton & her husband Larry, of LaCenter, KY;
A Grandson – Chad Shelton & his wife Karen; A Sister-in-Law – Lottie Parker of Cypress, IL; A Brother-in-Law – Wilbur “Wib” Orange of Belknap, IL; Several Nieces & Nephews.
In addition to his Parents, Clellan was preceded in death by: A Brother – Harold “Cotton” Parker; A Sister-in-Law – Vivian “Sid” Orange; An Aunt & Uncle - John & Della Larrison Choate in whose home Clellan was raised.
Clellan was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II.
Clellan had been employed by Main Brothers Lumber for 21 years. He had also previously been employed as a custodian for 15 years at the Vienna High School.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Clellan was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed quail & pheasant hunting.
Clellan’s life was his testimony.
Clellan leaves his family & many dear friends to cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, February 18, 2006 at 11 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Burial will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate.
Friends may call Friday evening after 6 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL.
