Dorothy
Moake Jones, 82, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 12:18 A.M. at her
residence. Dorothy was born January 27, 1922 to J. L. and Sally (Lockard)
Holman in Herrin. She married Robert Moake in 1939 and he preceded
her in death on February 1,1977.
Dorothy
was a homemaker. She worked for Sangamo Electric for 14 years. She
attended Independent Baptist Church in Marion.
Survivors
include: Daughter – Phyllis Rath of Marion, Five (5)
Grandchildren; Kelly Rae Moake of Sarasota, Florida, Robert Joe
Rath and wife Jeri of Marion, Cheryl Lynn Hastings and husband
Bryan of Sesser, Kevin James Rath of Crab Orchard, Lisa Kay Richey
of Marion, Seven (7) Great Grandchildren: Airman Adam Rath, Ryan
Hicks of Sesser, Cristin Hicks of Sesser, Jordan Hicks of Sesser,
Page Richey of Marion, Kole Richey of Marion, Kyle James Moake of
Sarasota, Florida, Two (2) Step-Grandchildren: Nichols and Tyler
Russo of Marion, Two Great Great Grandchildren: Isabell &
Lillianna Rath, Best Friends: Helen Moore of Herrin, Deloma
Coleman of Marion.
Preceded
by: Parents, Husband, Son – James Edward Moake, Brother –
Luther Holman and Five (5) Sisters – Imogene Haught, Ruby
Bargesser, Dolly Collins, Dimple Henly and Ethel Baker.
Funeral
services will be Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at
Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Keith Rankin
officiating. Burial will follow in Cana Cemetery in Goreville.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of
service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be
made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, envelopes will be available
at the funeral home.
