Edna E. Morris

Edna E. Morris, daughter of George Mott & Agnes (LAWRENCE) Mott, was born August 3, 1907 in Grantsburg, Il. She departed this life Wednesday morning, January 28, 2004, at 9:50am at the home of a Grand Daughter, Tammy Werner, at New Burnside, Il. At the time of her passing, Edna had attained the age of 96 years, 5 months & 25 days.

Edna was united in marriage to Clennie C. Morris in 1924 at the Johnson County Courthouse in Vienna, Il. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1991.

Survivors include; a Daughter - Betty L. Gibbs of New Burnside, Il; 2 Sons - Harlen & Joy Morris of New Burnside, Il and Kenneth Morris of Harrisburg, Il; Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great- Great Grandchildren, as well as Nieces & Nephews.

In addition to her Parents & Husband, Edna was preceded in death by a Son, Wayne Morris; a Great Grandson - Dustin Street; 3 Brothers & 5 Sisters.

Edna was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family, especially her Grandchildren.

Edna was of the Baptist faith and attended the New Burnside Community Church.

Edna leaves her family and friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, January 30, 2004, at 1:30pm at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Tim Blankenship will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 Noon to - 1:30pm Friday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
