Estelle "Cubby" Gore

Estelle Gore, age 83 years, a resident of Cypress, IL. passed away Thursday morning, May 13, 2004, at 7:35am at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Estelle was born September 4, 1920 in De Queen, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Robert Wilkes & Liza (STEP) Wilkes.

Estelle was united in marriage to Ray V. Gore on July 8, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He survives.

Other survivors include: a Daughter - Diana Terry, and her husband Jay, of Cypress, IL; 2 Grandchildren - Shawn Roberts, and her husband Greg, of Carbondale, IL. & James Oscar "J. O." Fadely of Vienna, IL; 2 Great Granddaughters -Destiny Nichole & BriAnna Denise; a Sister - Lucille of Red Bluff, CA. and a Brother - John Wilkes of Idaho.

In addition to her parents, Estelle was preceded in death by a brother - Charles "Chock' Wilkes & 2 Sisters.

Estelle was a homemaker. She, along with her husband Ray, owned & operated the "Do-Drop-In" Restaurant near Cypress for several years. She had also been employed by the Dietary dept. of the Elgin State Hospital. Estelle was a member of the Cypress First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, coking, flower gardening & collecting angels. Estelle was a kind & loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who know her.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2004 at 1:30pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Interment will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery.
