Geneva Taylor

Geneva M. Taylor, age 90 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, July 4, 2003, at 8:50
PM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.
Geneva was born July 1, 1913 in the New Columbia community (Massac County, IL). She was the daughter of Lewgi Mobley
& Addie (Staton) Mobley.
Geneva was united in marriage to Paul Taylor on April 18, 1966 in Elgin, Illinois.
He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: A Son - U.S. Navy Commander (CDR) Stephen Lindsey, and his wife Martha, of Twenty Nine Palms,
CA; A Grandson - Joseph Lindsey of Twenty Nine Palms, CA; A Sister-in-Law - Gladys Adema of Indiana; Nieces &
Nephews.
In addition to her Parents & Husband, Geneva was preceded in death by A Brother - Joseph Mobley and A Sister
- Mary Lou Mobley.
Geneva was a graduate of the New Columbia High School. She was retired as a Sergeant in the Security Dept. of the
Elgin State Hospital, Elgin, IL.
Geneva was a faithful & dedicated member of the Vienna First Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing roses and
was a member of the American Rose Society.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, July 10, 2003, at 10 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Dr. James
W. Cecil will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 PM - 8 PM Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
