Gussie Schierbaum

Gussie A. Schierbaum, daughter of James McHugh & Ethel (BURKLOW) McHugh, was born November 14, 1915 in Tunnel Hill, IL. She departed this life Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2004, at 4:24pm at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

At the time of her passing, Gussie had attained the age of 88 years, 2 months, & 24 days.

Gussie was united in marriage to William "Bill" Schierbaum in 1935. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1970.

Survivors include; a Son - Jim Schierbaum & his wife, Wanda of Vienna, IL; 3 Granddaughters - Sharon Caron, Sheila Erzinger & Becky Fehrenbacher;  5 Great Grandchildren - Cheyenne Caron, Shelby Caron, Brad Erzinger, Tyler Erzinger & Caleb Fehrenbacher; 3 Sisters - Golda taylor of West Franklin, IL., Naomi Simmons & her husband, Jack of Ozark, Il. & Bonnie Cook of Vienna, IL; Several Nieces & Nephews.

In addition to her Parents & Husband, gussie was preceded in death by; a Daughter - Jo Ann Henry & 2 Brothers - Wayne McHugh & James Raleigh McHugh.

Gussie was a homemaker. She had also been employed by Hillview Health Care Center in Housekeeping for 17 years. Gussie enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet, hand crafts & gardening.

Gussie leaves her family and friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 11am at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Priest Linda Bundren will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call after 6pm Monday at the Bailey Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Heather Harper - Treat Memorial Cancer Fund.
