Hazel Craig

Hazel Craig, 85, of Goreville passed away at 4:30 a.m., Friday, June 30,
2006, in Herrin Hospital.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 2, at the Blue Funeral Home
in Goreville with the Rev. C.E. Sullivan and Reverend Richard Pearce
officiating. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2006 at
the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville.
Mrs. Craig was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Goreville to Earl and Stella
(Thomas) Perry. She married Omer Craig on Aug. 23, 1938 in Jackson, Miss.;
together they shared 65 years of marriage until his death on Nov. 3, 2003.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mike Craig and his wife Lily of
Goreville; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy Lively and her husband Tom of
Goreville; grandchildren, Gina Phalin and her husband Terry, David Craig
and his wife Angie and Shane Clark and and his wife Amanda;
great-grandchildren, Charity and Tyler Pearce, Caleb Phalin, Elisha Craig
and Kelli Craig; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie Tinsley and her
husband Bill of Bixby, Okla. and Shirley and Louie Hollis of Goreville;
brother and sister-in-law, Clarence Perry and his wife Shirley of
Goreville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers,
Ralph, Bill and Bob Perry.
Mrs. Craig was a member of Lick Creek Pentecostal Church. She was a
homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved to sit on her porch and talk
to her neighbors. She enjoyed sitting and listening to her grandkids, "The
Picking Pennies".
