Jessalyn W. Waters Jessalyn W. Waters, 89, of Dongola, died at 7:54am Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at home. Jessalyn was born May 4, 1914, in Lee Mars, Iowa, the daughter of J. Fred and Emma (HIGHT) Wright. She married C. C. "Arkie" Waters on Feb. 11, 1953, and he died on Dec. 10, 1987. She graduated from Marion High School, attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and lived and taught school in Ullin and Dongola. She also worked at First State Bank of Dongola and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola. She is survived by a nephew, Jack and Virginia Train; two great - nieces, Barbara (TRAIN) Hammond and Pamela (TRAIN) Leutz; one great - nephew, Jack D. Train; and two sisters - in - law, Tressie Dallas and Opal Osman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arkie, parents and two sisters, Genevie Wright and Yuba Train. Private graveside services were held Friday in Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Crain Funeral Home in Dongola is in charge of arrangements.
