Passed away Friday afternoon, August 25, 2006, at 12:30 PM at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Born: December 5, 1923 in Cypress, IL. She was the daughter of Marcus L. Hines & Cora A. (Poole) Hines.

Survivors include: A Daughter – Linda (Glass) Williams & her husband Chesley of Vienna, IL A Sister - Maudene Hines of Vienna, IL A Granddaughter – Tiffany (Williams) Morgan of Vienna, IL A Grandson – Brent Williams & his wife Tracy of Vienna, IL 2 Great Grandchildren: Kaleb Williams & Emma Williams

In addition to her Parents, Lavada was preceded in death by: Her Twin Brother – Edwin Lavern Hines Brother: Milton Lee Hines 2 Sisters: Sylvia Marie Cooley & Retha Lorene Murrie 3 Infant Sisters

Lavada was employed by the General Telephone Co. as a telephone operator for approx. 25 years, prior to her retirement in 1981. Lavada also worked as a greeter and receptionist for Whitnel Funeral Home and later for Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL.

Lavada was devoted to her family. She loved working in her yard and tending her flowers. Lavada was also a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing.

Lavada loved to square dance and was well known throughout the area within the square dancing circuit.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, August 28, 2006, at 10 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 PM – 8 PM Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
