Lillian Tweedy
Lillian `Bea` Tweedy, 81, of Goreville passed away at 7:50 Am, Monday, June 20, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at
1:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville
with Reverend Tim Woodard and Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Visitation
will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery, Goreville. Memorials may be Mrs. Tweedy was born on December
5, 1923 in Johnston City, Illinois to Charles and Eva (Maude) Whitney. She
married Clarence `Bub` Tweedy on August Other survivors include her children, Terry L. and Mary Godbey, Rick and Loudine Newton, and Shannon L. Byrd all of Goreville, David and Debbie Newton of Vienna, Cheryl Stamp of Jonesboro, and Kathy York of Anna; grandchildren, Jim Godbey, Bill and Debbie Godbey, Terry Godbey, Jr., Brannon Byrd, Brandi and Justin Thornton, Johanna and Clarence Smith, Jenifer and Mike Jacobs, Camille and Jerry Moorad, Amy and Joe Radanavong, Bradley Stamp, Tim York, Rich and Jennifer York and Sarah Adams; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Whitney. Mrs. Tweedy retired from Choate
Hospital as a mental health technician. She formerly taught at Regent
School. She loved working with crafts and camping. |
