Mary B. Locke

Mary B. Locke was born January 1, 1912 in the Berea Community of Johnson County Illinois. She departed this life Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2005 at 2:25 PM in Metropolis, Illinois. At the time of her passing, Mary had attained the age of 93 years, 4 months & 16 days.

Mary was united in marriage to Levi B. Locke in February 1928 in Vienna, IL. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1997.

Survivors include: a Daughter – Mary Lee & her husband Tommy Henard of Newbern, TN; a Granddaughter – Carolyn & her husband James Jaynes of Nesbit, MS; a Brother – Doug & his wife Kathleen Huckleberry of Vienna, IL; Nieces & Nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by: Her Mother – Lillie (Weaver) Huckleberry; A Sister – Lodene Sharp.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Southern Illinois Historical Society. Mary enjoyed seamstress work.

Mary was of the Protestant faith.

Mary leaves her family and many dear friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, May 21, 2005, at 1 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Entombment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 Noon until 1 PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
