Funeral for Michael Balos Jr. of Jackson, Tenn., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill. The Rev. David Keyes will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Belknap, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Michael, 75, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Aurora, Ill., son of Michael and Regina Cokos Balos. He married Lauretta Miller.
He was a retired construction worker. He was a former member of Hillermen Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Balos of Owensboro, Ky., Judy Johnson of Belknap, Lory Markowski of Brownsville, Tenn.; a son, Michael Balos of Jackson, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
