Bernie News - obit Harvey Monroe Escue

Harvey Monroe Escue, longtime resident of Bernie was born in Illinois Sept. 24 1876 and passed away at the Doctor's Hospital in Poplar Bluff on February 3, 1959 at the age of 82 years.
He was a carpenter in Bernie for 45 years and at one time operated a mercantile store in Bernie.  He retired a few years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Swatzell and Mrs. Norma Terry of Bernie, two grand children Donald and Marsha Terry.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Bernie Alliance Church with Rev. Troy White of Fisk and Rev Elmer Kline, pastor, officiating.  Interment was in the Bernie Cemetery with Duffie-Rainey Service.
