MOUNDS
– Mrs. Boyce Ewing, age 84, of Memphis,
Tenn.,
formerly of Mounds, died Saturday, Jan 24, 1998,
evening in Memphis.
Mrs. Ewing was born Oct. 2, 1913,
in Goreville, the
daughter of Lowell and Zellah (Webb) Russell.
She was married to Lee Ewing on Sept.
1, 1934, and he
preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1981.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church
in Mounds.
She is survived by two daughters and
sons-in-law, Sharon and Jim Dalton of Lakewood,
Colo.,
and
Dianne and Vance Miller of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Doug
Dalton of
Highlands Ranch, Colo., Amy Dalton of Irving, Texas, Stephanie Caldwell
of
Dallas, Texas, and Amy Hastings of McKinney, Texas; seven
great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Dean Shyrock and Dolores Newton, both of West Frankfort;
brother,
Jack Russell, also of West Frankfort; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a stepson,
Bill Ewing, and sister, Ruby Horsley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boyce Ewing will
be at 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in
Mounds, with
the Rev. Jerry Herring officiating.
Interment will be made in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the First United Methodist Church
in Mounds after 9:30 a.m.
Crain funeral Home of Ullin is in charge of
arrangements.
