GOREVILLE - - Robert Wessley Henley, 51, died at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 1989, in Marion Memorial Hospital.

     Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, with burial in Cana Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the church.

     Memorials may be made to the church.

     Mr. Henley worked as a foreman for Southern Illinois Stone Co.  He also had worked for Mobil Oil Corp.

     He attended the First Baptist Church, and was a member of the Okwa River Valley Suzuki Owners, Illinois Chapter 2.

     He was born Nov. 8, 1937, in Goreville to Robert and Dimple (Holman) Henley.

     He married Mary Green in 1957.  She survives.

     Other survivors include four daughters, Gayla Suits and Kerri Henley, both of Goreville, and Cindy and Ginger Henley, both of Paducah; his mother and stepfather Dimple and Lawrence Burklow of Goreville; and two grandchildren.

     One sister preceded him in death.

     Meredith Funeral Chapel in Goreville is in charge of arrangements.
