HERRIN -- E.
Pauline Newlin, 81, 902 N. 13th, died at 6:37 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 20,
1993, at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin.
Mrs. Newlin was a 25-year employee of
Woolworth department store in Herrin until she retired in the summer of
1966.
She was a member of the Christian Church
in West Frankfort, Ill.
She was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Goreville
to Daniel Lee and Ethel (Russell) Toler.
She married Ralph E. Newlin on April 15,
1932, in Carbondale, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are one son and
daughter-in-law, E. Gale and Glenda L. Newlin of Newburgh, Ind.; three
grandchildren, Kimra G. Betasso of Princeton, Ill., Randall L. Newlin
of Herrin, Ill., and Kelly A. Newlin of Evansville, Ind.; three
great-grandchildren, Katy Nichole Newlin of Herrin, Ill., and Tori Ann
and Olivia Pauline Betasso, both of Princeton, Ill.; one brother, Larry
Toler of Goreville, Ill.; and three sisters, Naoma Martin of Xenia,
Ohio, Leanna Tate of Dayton, Ohio, and Mary Miller of Tip City, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, son, Danny Gene Newlin, three brothers, Don, Jack and Carlyn
Toler, and one sister, Evelyn Throgmorton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, Oct. 23, 1993 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin,
Ill. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy,
Ill. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
