Harriett Russell, 71, of Cypress, died last Friday.

Harriett Louisa Russell, age 71, the widow of the late Rev. L. A. Russell, passed away Friday morning, at 2:00 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Winnifred Penrod in Cypress, following a lingering illness.

Besides Mrs. Penrod, she is survived by a son, Leonard Russell of Cypress, three sisters, Mrs. Octavia Frost of Jonesboro, Mrs. Martha Frost of Cypress, and Mrs. Edna Carlock of Dongola; also one brother, John Kelley of Anna and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday after at 2:00 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Dongola with the Rev. Hobert Peterson, the pastor, officiating.  Interment was made in the Union Cemetery under the direction of E. J. Ford.
