Mrs. Meda Scarsdale, daughter of Powel and Martha (Boswell) TOLER, was born November 1875, in Union County, Illinois, and passed away at the Union County Hospital in Anna, November 15, 1967.
    Mrs. Scarsdale was united in marriage to Ed Scarsdale on May 3, 1915, at St. Louis, Mo.  He preceded her in death on March 23, 1954.  She had spent most of her life in Union County and for the past fourteen years, she had made her home with her niece, Mrs. Lela Clayton of Simpson, Ill.  Her only survivors are a number of nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at the McCarty Funeral Home in Anna, Saturday, November 18, 1967, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. J. G. Whiteside officiating.  Interment was in the Ebenezer (Hall) Cemetery.  McCarty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
