Louie A. Toler

formerly of Goreville, Ill., the son of James Matthew and Jamima Jane
Toler, passed away on July 14, 1960 in the General Hospital, Lincoln,
Nebraska.
Born at Goreville on January 22, 1893 he had attained the age of 67 years, 6 months and 8 days. He spent his boyhood in this community and in his early twenties he secured employment at the Lincoln, Nebraska State Hospio9tal and remained in its employ until the time of his death. For the past thirty years he was supervisor there. He was a veteran of World War I, serving overseas and was injured in the Marne Offensive. Following his military service, he was united in marriage to Irene Donivan of Lincoln, Nebr., who survives him. Besides his devoted wife, Irene, he leaves one half brother, W. P. Henley and one brother, Dan L. Toler of Goreville; one brother, Ivy O. Toler of Dayton, Ohio and a sister, Mrs. Cecil Luttrell of Marion. Two sisters and a brother of his wife were as dear to him as were his own. In addition to these, he leaves a host of nieces and nephews and countless friends who deeply grieve his passing. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one brother, Van L. Toler, and an infant sister, Beulah. Funeral services and burial were in Lincoln, Nebraska, July 17, 1960. |
