GOREVILLE - Helen Mildred Underwood, 92, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2004, at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, at the Goreville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Alan Milligan officiating.  Interment will be held in
Busby Cemetery in Goreville.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. at the church.
    Meredith Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
    Helen was born March 15, 1912, in Goreville, to John Sidney and Roberta (Lowry) Benson.
    She married Kenneth Underwood on Dec. 11, 1932, in Metropolis.  He preceded her in death of Jan. 2, 1968.   
    She is also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
    Survivors include one daughter, Betty Wooldrige of Longview, Texas; one son-in-law, Paul Hutchison of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Tim Hutchison of Lavon, Texas, and Terry Hutchison of Longview; and four great-grandchildren.
    Helen was a member of Goreville United Methodist Church and the Goreville Senior citizens.  She has lived in Goreville most of her life.
