Della A. (Dorrell) Walker

Mrs. W. O. (Della A.) Walker, 78 years old, 1020 Stewart, died Saturday night, May 11, 1985, in St. Francis Medical Center.
    She was born Feb. 4, 1907, at Goreville, Ill, daughter of Henry and Laura Toler Dorrell.
    She married Mr. Walker Dec 19, 1936, in Cape Girardeau.  He and a number of cousins survive.
    Mrs. Walker was a member of First General Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.  She was a longtime member of the choir and was its director.  She taught Sunday School many years and was active in youth missionary work.
    She and her husband moved to Cape Girardeau from a farm on Upper Bend Road Nov. 1, 1978.
    Mrs. Walker worked at an aircraft factory in Evansville, Ind. during World War II, and she was an election judge for many years in Neil Holcomb Precinct.
    Friends may call at Ford and Sons Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
    Service will be at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev John Swain, pastor of First General Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park.
    Pallbearers will be Ervin Hobbs, Louis Gillmer, George Goodson, Cecil Hines, Oscar Poston and Clois Hood.
