Raymond Douglas
Mr. Raymond Douglas, age 82 of Karnak. IL. died Sunday evening at 5:20p.m. at the VA Regional Medical Center at Marion, IL. Mr. Douglas was a retired boilermaker. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy. He was a 32 degree Mason in the Belknap Masonic Lodge #822, a member of the Metropolis White Shrine. Mr. Douglas was born Aug. 5, 1921 at Hillerman, IL. He is survived by his wife, Doris (BROWN) Douglas of Karnak; 2 sons, Ronnie Douglas and Raymond Douglas Jr. both of Karnak; 3 brothers, Wayne Douglas of Anna, IL, Clark Douglas of Joliet, IL> and Clyde Douglas of Karnak, IL.; 2 grandchildren, 1 step grandson and 1 great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Birdie (BUNCH) Douglas and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with the Rev. Gerell Cain officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Cypress with Military grave side rites by the Beggs Gurley VFW Post #5222. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
