Earl E. "Sonny" Underwood

Earl E. "Sonny" Underwood, son of Earnest & Melva (EATON) Underwood, was born January 30, 1938 in East Alton Illinois. He departed this life Wednesday evening, February 3, 1999 at 11:45pm at his home near Vienna, following a lengthy illness. At the time of his passing, Sonny had attained the age of 61 years and 4 days.

Sonny was united in marriage to Kathleen "Kass" (nee Bair) Schierbaum on December 30, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

Step Grandchildren; Clayton, Hunter, Vincent, Amanda, Mark, Angela, Malania, Natasha, Anna & Bubby; His Step Mother- Rose Carlson of Manteca, CA; 2 Half-Sisters - Deborah Huffman of Manteca, CA. & Vicky Rodekuhr of San Jose, CA; 2 Step - Sisters, Mary Ostrowski of san Jose, CA. & Sue Kriger of Woodland, CA; Uncles and Aunts -  Earl & Mildred Underwood of Jerseyville, IL. & Laverne Underwood of Goreville, IL. One Niece, One Nephew and many loving cousins.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Underwood Hicks of San Pablo, CA. on December 31, 1998.

Sonny was a U. S. Navy veteran. He served from 1956-1980, retiring as a Master Chief. He was then employed by Chevron USA, Inc. in Richmond CA. until his retirement in 1993.

Sonny leaves to cherish his memory his family & many friends.
