Velma June Lamphere

Velma June Lamphere, 71, of Goreville, passed away at 4:15 AM, Monday, December 6, 2004 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Robert Schierbaum officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. 

Mrs. Lamphere was born on January 9, 1933 in Goreville, Illinois to Edgar and Wilhelmina (Fischer) Sullivan. She married Lewis Lamphere on August 1, 1953 in Marion, Illinois and he survives. Other survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Lehman Weaver of Freemont, Missouri; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Lela Sullivan of Hobart, Indiana, Donald and Betty Sullivan of St. Louis, Missouri and Kenneth Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Sullivan, William Sullivan, Carl Sullivan, George Sullivan and Harold Sullivan; and sisters, Ruth Larson, Helen Barringer, Afton Sullivan and Sarah Sullivan. 

Mrs. Lamphere loved to arrange flowers. She was a homemaker.
