Virgil Mighell

Virgil Mighell, 72, of Route 1, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989, in Marion Memorial Hospital.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Whitnel Funeral Chapel in Goreville, with burial in Busby Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Mighell was a retired highway department worker. He also worked for Southern Illinois Stone Co.

He was born April 8, 1917, Johnson Co. to Joseph and Edna (LOVELACE) Mighell. He was married to Mamie Bloodworth in 1937. She died in 1983.

Survivors include one daughter, Edna Webb of Goreville; one brother, Hugh Mighell of Goreville, three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers also preceded him in death.
