William Harvey Craig

William Harvey Craig, the son of Carroll & Rebecca Craig was born in Johnson County, Illinois, November 7, 1865 and died at the home of his daughter, Della Simmons near Goreville, Illinois Tuesday, January 4, 1949, at the age of 83.

On September 18, 1884 he married Martha Jane Davis. Who after 57 years of marriage preceded him in death on September 4, 1941. To this union were born eight children, four having preceded him in death. Those surviving were Ona, Becky, Della & Dowell. Also surviving are twenty grandchildren, sisters and brothers; Margaret, Jane, Lizzie, Martha, John, & L. D. Craig.

Funeral services were held near Goreville, Illinois with Rev. Everett A. Albright officiated. He was buried at the Busby Cemetery.
