Sunday, November 15, 1891:
Mrs. Phelps, of Sullivan, Ill., was the guest of her son, Dr. Phelps, this week.
Mr. Peleg Winslow is visiting in Grayville, this State.
State's Attorney Hunter has returned from Tucson, Arizona.
Mr. O.W. Butts, of the Chicago Daily News, was visiting with old friends here this week.
Mrs. C.J. McConnell, of Decatur, Ill., is the guest of her father, L.W. Shores.
Mr. Enoch Lambert and Miss Lambert, of Plainfield, Ill., were visitors at W.J. Brock's this week.
Chas. Dixon, a former Kankakee man, but now of West Superior, Wis., visited his father and friends this week.
The Lyric Club were the guests of Mrs. Richard S. Dewey on Thursday afternoon, and the members were tendered a delightful lunch after the programme was completed.
The usual number of social clubs for passing long winter nights are being organized. The Kankakee club room, however, will probably hold enough of the older members who would reorganize Kankakee's great whist club.
Mr. William Kenaga, of Kankakee, has been spending several days with university friends in this city (Champaign) and Urbana.
