In my quest too find the Coal Mine in Knox County, Illinois, that was once owned by my 3rd Great-Grandfather Peter Dolan who came from as far as I can tell from Ireland and made his way too Knox County, Illinois, too make a home; I have gathered the following information on Coal Mines and the people who have operated them through the years. If anyone out there has any other information too add or has any information on my Peter Dolan who married Ellen Jane Wilson, I would love too hear from. Peter had an accident and died from injuries while overseeing the Etherly Mine. I have been over too the Etherly Cemetery and have felt a dejavau when being there. When finding his obituary I knew why. Thanks for any and all help in finding out anything more on him and his family. They are buried in the Wataga Cemetery, Sparta Twp., Knox County, Illinois.
