STEWARD GUN CLUB
Steward, Lee County IL
A Steward Gun Club was active about 1911-12. Trap shoots were held during morning hours in Hemenways Grove with lunch and accomodations provided for visitors.
William Cratty was president of the club and M.D. Barnett, secretary. An old program reads: 10 targets; entrance, 30 cents; $75 worth of prizes given out. One day the group posed for a picture. It is believed the men
with their backs to the camera (far left) were professionals and a number of the men in the group were from neighboring areas attending the days evens.
