- Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Highland and son Scott Douglas were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Perry and daughters of Blackstone; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schmidt and family, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Dean, Pontiac; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Highland and Sandra.
- Scott Douglas was baptized Sunday morning at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church here. Godparents were Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt and Miss Sandra Highland.
- Mr. and Mrs. William Mattox and family accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Foster of Stawn, formerly of Rowe, spent Sunday at Glen Oak Park at Peoria.
- Sunday evening callers in the Carl Curtiss home were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Humphry of Momence.
- Mrs. Joe Moore and daughters, Carol Ann and Linda and son Terry, Mrs. Harold Legner and daughter Lee Ann visited Saturday with Mrs. Moore’s daughter, Mrs. Stephen Drake, and son at Bloomington.
- Mrs. Arnold Peterson was hostess Monday evening to the Rebecca Circle at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lyle Girard gave the lesson, “To Marry or Not to Marry”. Devotions were led by Miss Minette Carlsen. The offering meditation was given by Mrs. Ruth Combs. Mrs. Harold Louderback, president conducted the meeting. Mrs. Lyle Girard gave the stewardship report. Other reports were by Mrs. Ernest Olson, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Ruth Combs, secretary of education.
