- John R. Parker on Tuesday took out a petition as a democratic candicate for circuit clerk, the first democrat to circulate for that office.
- Circuit clerk Vincent Jones, republican, has signified his intention to again be a candidate.
- There seems every likelyhood that C. Everette Smith would circulate a petition as a democratic candidate for State's attorney. R. R. Humphrey, present State's attorney is expected to run for renomination.
- Edward J. Tobin, republican and Albert Heitman, democrat will run for county surveyor.
