Clarence L Waddell, 80, father of Kenneth Waddell died at 6:45 am Friday
at the Burnham City Hospital following a two day illness. The body was taken
to the Renner Funeral Home. Funeral arrangemants are incomplete, except burial
will be made in the Mt. Pulaski cemetary beside his wife.
Mr Waddell came to Champaign from Decatur, about two weeks ago. He was born
on November 2, 1853 to John L and Emily Waddell. Besides his son Kenneth
he leaves two other sons Lee D. Waddell and John L Waddell and one daughter
Mrs. Charles Drury.

Emmett E Waddell, 77, of Niantic, died at 12:30 today in Decatur and Macon
County Hospital.
Mr. Waddell, a lumber dealer had been sick a week. He was born Oct.24,1881,
a son of Thomas and Elizabeth Waddell. Mr. Waddell was married to the former
Myrtle Boone who died in 1943. He leaves a son, James Keith and three
grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm in Pritchett Funeral Home, Illiopolis, where
friends may call after 1pm Sunday. Buriel will be in the Graceland Cemetery,
Decatur.

Harriett Simpson Waddell
Mrs Harriett Simpson Waddell, wife of Clarence L Waddell, died at 4 o'clock
Monday morning at the family residence, 1345 West Wood Street. She would
have been seventy-three years old in August. Last Friday noon she suffered
a stroke of apoplexy, from which she failed to rally.
Mrs. Waddell was born in Collinsville, Ill., Aug 27, 1858. She had resided
in Decatur for many years and was well known. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church and had many friends. She is survived by her husband and the
following children: Mrs Helen Drury of Jacksonville, Lee D. Waddell of Chestnut,
Kenneth Waddell of Champaign, and John L Waddell of St. Louis. There are
eight grandchildren. The body was taken to Leon A Monson, funeral director
and prepared for burial and returned to the home Monday afternoon. The funeral
will be held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon ant the First Baptist Chuch. The burial
will be in the Mt. Pulaski cemetery.

James Ward
Illinois State Chronicle (Decatur, Illinois) Thursday, August 9, 1855
Died near Sangamon River, on Saturday last, Mr. James Ward, a contractor
on the Danville extension of the G.W.R.R. Mr. W. leaves a wife and many friends
to mourn his loss.

Mrs Maude B. Ware
Funeral Monday [paper date Aug 9, 1947]
Mrs Maude B Ware, 75, of 1815 E. Prairie Ave, a lifelong resident of Decatur,
died last midnight in St. Mary's hospital. She had been in failing health
three years.
Mrs Ware was born in Decatur Oct 20, 1871. She married Howard Ware in 1897.
He died in 1910. She was a member of the East Park Baptist church.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs Glen Pilcher, Mrs J. W. Davis and Mrs Arthur
Gallivan, all of Decatur; two step-sons, Walter Ware of Decatur and Dr. Harry
Ware of Clarksburg, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs Charles Bobb of San Diego, Calif.,
and Mrs Frank Graham of Decatur; four grandchildren and three
step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in the Moran & Sons funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Boiling Springs cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral
home after 7 p.m. today.

September 10 1857
Died on the 8th inst., in this city, Florence A., daughter of John and Martha
Williams, aged 3 years, 4 months and (?) days - Born at Dry Creek, El Dorado
county, California.
