George was the son of William Frederick Fraley, who was born in Hesse-Darmstatt, Germany, and emigrated to New York in 1843. GAUER, O.F. - Born at Staunton, November 20, 1867; son of John L. and Hannah (Ahlers) Gauer. The father, who was a stone mason by trade, was born in 1827, and died March 22, 1880, at the age of fifty-three years. The mother died on the 12th of February, 1874.
