| The people in my photo are Sam LaFrank and Jennie (Genny) Her maiden name was Barberis. The children are oldest
to youngest- Katherine (Kate), Peter John LaFrank, Frank LaFrank, and Evelyn LaFrank all of Collinsville, Madison
County, Illinois. Sam LaFrank was born Marco Antonio Salvatore LaFranca in Partinico, Palermo, Italy. He came to the U.S. through Ellis Island in 1910. He americanized his name to Sam LaFrank and married Jennie Barbera born in Illinois between 1910 and 1917. At one time he worked in the coal mines in Madison County. His brother Peter John LaFrank purchased LaFrank Monument Company after returning from WWII and it is now owned by one of his children I think. Peter died in Dec 2006.
