Sir, take notice, that I have obtained an appeal to the circuit court of Madison county, state of Illinois, from the judgement recovered by you against me, before Amos Sqyuire, a justice of the peace for said county, on the 6th day of November, 1819. You are therefore requested to appear by yourself or attorney, at the next term of the said court, to be holden in the town of Edwardsville on the fourth Monday in the month of October next, then ans there to answer to the said suit.
