Donald writes: "Another disaster happened that year...or maybe it was 42.. It was the tornado that devastated the town (Lacon). My folks took a lot of pictures of that event and, if I can find them, I would be glad to contribute them to the website."
My mother also remembers this tornardo. She says her family went to see the devastation after the tornardo hit. The school was damaged severely and the children had just been let out of school before the tornardo hit. -- Nancy Piper
