In Saratoga township, Oct. 12, of dropsy, David Yarger, aged 35 years.
David Yarger, one of Saratoga townships respected citizens, died on Sunday. He has been feeble and ailing for some time. He leaves a wife, a daughter of Abel Hatfield and one child. Respect to his memory was shown in the large concourse of friends who attended the funeral obsequies.

February 17, 1881 - LaRose
There was an accident on the C. & A. railroad on the 11th, which caused the death of Dock Young, the engineer. The engine blew up and Young jumped off and struck on his head, and crushed the back of his head in, and he died before they got him to Dwight. The accident was near Blackstone, on the western division of the C. & A.
