Louis E. Johnson, 83, who had lived alone at his farm home northwest of Chandlerville ever since the death of his wife four years ago, was found dead late last Thursday afternoon by his nephew, William Lane of Route 1, Bath. Johnson had been a farmer all his life, and could not be persuaded to leave the farm home.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Coroner Richard Hurley of Havana made an investigation of the death.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at Fairview Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Hobbs of Manito officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
