Gloria Eve (Pollitt) Kaler, 73, of Chandlerville, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011.

She was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Fulton County, to Guy and Ruth (Carson) Pollitt. She married Robert Kaler on Aug. 11, 1973, and he preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include one daughter, Amy (Mack) Ishmael of Chandlerville; and four sons, Chris (Debra) Bishop and Kent Bishop, both of Havana, Henry Kaler of Chandlerville and Matthew Kaler of Bath. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brent, Erica, Phillip, Kristian and Andrew Bishop, Blair Ishmael, Makayla Meyer and Drake Kaler; and three great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include three brothers, Norman Pollitt of Lewistown, Lloyd "Tink" Pollitt of Grottoes, Va., and Harry Pollitt of Carlinville; and one sister, Joyce Drescher of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Victor Brent Bishop on Oct. 8, 2011; one brother; and one sister.

She was employed by Grant's Florist in Havana prior to her retirement. She was a member of Chandlerville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she was a former Sunday school teacher.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Funeral services will be held at the Chandlerville Christian Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jim Waterman will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Bath Cemetery.

Obit: Lyle V. Keller, 73, of 12021 Sunset Drive, Manito, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born Sept. 8, 1938, the son of Jacob and Annabelle Wittmer Keller. He married Shirley D. Adkins on Sept. 19, 1959, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Kristine (Mark) Koehn of Cedar Hill, Texas, Katherine (Victor) Morgan of Martinsville, Ind., and Karen (Mike) Kish of Manito; one sister, Anita (Robert) Molitor of Manito; and nine grandchildren. One infant granddaughter, Holli Kish, and one sister, Phyllis Miller, preceded him in death. Lyle was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union 183 in Peoria. He belonged to the Wilmor Sportsman's Club in Morton and was a member of Spring Lake Missionary Church near Manito. He loved his Lord and family very much. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Spring Lake Cemetery behind Spring Lake Missionary Church, 6779 Townline Road, Manito. The Rev. Tom Schakat will officiate. No visitation is planned. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Christian School, 1501 Howard Ct., Pekin, IL 61554. Maas Funeral Home in Manito is in charge of arrangements.
