May Webb Ruggles Newspaper unknown May Webb Ruggles, daughter of Drusilla Riggins Webb and Thomas Webb, was born March 17, 1855 at Havana, Ill. She passed on to the life eternal at her home in Kilbourne, Ill. on Dec. 9, 1934, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 23 days. On Oct. 6, 1874 she was married to Henry C. Ruggles. To this union the following chlidren were born, namely Emma, wife of H.E. McWhorter, Mrs. Ruth Altig, E. Clay Ruggles, Mrs. Mazie Smith, all of Kilbourne; Albert W. Ruggles, deceased, and James M. Ruggles of Springfield, Ill. Twin sons died in infancy. Mrs. Ruggles' husband died on Feb. 12, 1912. In addition to her children Mrs. Ruggles is survived by the following relatives, her brothers, Frank Webb of Knight's Landing, Calif. and Cass Webb of Lodi, California, her sisters, Mrs. Agnes Daniel of Normal, Ill., Mrs. James Williams of Kilbourne, Ill., Mrs. Ollie Hopkins of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Libbie Blake of Kilbourne, Ill., thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and other relatvies and friends. Mrs. Ruggles had made her home in this community for the past fifty-nine years. Funeral services were held at the Kilbourne Christian church Dec. 11, 1934 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Evans officiating. Interment was in Kilbourne Cemetery. Contributed by Gladys Hyde
