PEKIN - Lila E. Scarcliff, 94, of 1225 Florence Ave., Apt. 2, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993, at Pekin Hospital.

Born Jan. 18, 1899, in Chandlerville to John and Lois Vaughn Toland, she married William H. Scarcliff Sr. on July 6, 1919, in Peoria. He died in August 1977. One son, three brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two brothers, Clyde Toland of Sebring, Fla., and Floyd Toland of Chandlerville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She retired from American Distilling Co. in Pekin in 1964. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, Celestial City Chapter 333 of the Order of Eastern Star, Victoria White Shrine 83 and the Pythian Sisters.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. The Rev. Dr. R. David Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Noel-Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.
